Marbella Mass Testing Sees Less Than 50% Attendance

Yesterday, Sunshine Radio reported that a number of towns in the Andalusian region were to host mass COVID-19 testing for their residents. The results are in for the tests carried out in Marbella.

A thousand residents of the town were invited for a test, with only 430 showing up. A text was sent with a time to attend their test, but less than 50% arrived. The tests were carried out by the Junta’s mobile health clinic unit in the Palacio de Congresos Adolfo Suárez car park.

The tests found 7 positive cases of the virus and participants were notified within an hour of their test.

The incidence rate of Marbella has reached 706.5 in the last few days. This figure is above the 500 established by the regional government to force the municipal border from Wednesday.
