There was been a massive increase in holiday bookings in Spain since last weekend. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, announced further easing of Covid-19 restrictions by allowing bars and restaurants to reopen to for the public.
Travel agent Rian Rodber, pointed out that there was a surge of bookings on their website due to the lifted restrictions. He added “Benidorm was the most popular with Benalmadena just behind, although the Canary Islands were high top, bookings are mainly for August and September.”
On Saturday the Government confirmed bars and restaurants would be opening their doors to customers from 11th May. Loosened restrictions will allow for 50% capacity.
The news was met with great enthusiasm from publicans and restaurateurs throughout the Costas as their businesses can begin once again in the region.
