Tuesday Sees 547 New COVID-19 Cases

547 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Andalucia on Tuesday. 

This figure is 27 more than yesterday and 69 more than what was detected last Tuesday, 15th. 

33 people have unfortunately died in the past day from the virus. It is seven fewer than Monday but brings the total figure from the pandemic in the southernmost region to 4,909. 

The pattern suggests that the infection rate is more or less remaining the same. The region has the lowest rate of the virus in mainland Spain and is only beaten by the Canary Islands and Ceuta. 

The number of Covid patients in hospital has fallen to 7%. This is a decrease from 7.81% six days ago. The number in ICU has fallen by half to 20% today, Tuesday. 

The virus’ incidence rate has increased to 138.7 from 237.8 cases per 100,000.

In the past 24 hours, 5,244 people have overcome the disease.
